Writing · about

Why three, and not one.

A single feed is the default because it is the easiest thing to build, not because it is the easiest thing to read. The three kinds of writing here have almost nothing in common except the person who wrote them: a note about a lens is for somebody deciding what to hire, a note about a gateway is for somebody debugging one, and a piece about a shoot is for neither.

So they are three sections with three routes and three treatments, and there is deliberately no combined stream, no tag cloud and no "related posts" across the boundary. If a piece genuinely belongs in two, it appears in two, and says so at the foot.

What goes where

Film 0 pieces
What a shoot was actually like, once it is far enough away to say.
Notes 0 pieces
Shorter things. A lens, a room, a mistake worth writing down.
Lab 1 piece
The machinery behind the site, and what it cost to build.

What does not get written

Nothing on a schedule. A piece appears when there is something to say about a job that is far enough behind to be honest about, or when something in the build cost more than it should have and the reason is worth keeping. That means long gaps, and the gaps are not a backlog.
